There had been multiple cats being reported missing in San Jose, California, many of which were people’s pets, and they were comin up suddenly missing. The neighborhood was San Jose’s Cambrian Park and when cats were being found murdered, authorities got involved.

Twenty-six year old Robert Roy Farmer has been found guilty on 21 felony counts of animal cruelty and one count each of misdemeanor battery, as well as being under the influence for killing 21 cats, both pets and strays. In September of 2015, he lured many of these cats away from their homes and killed them.

On October 8, 2015 in a Home Depot parking lot, Farmer was found asleep in his car with a deceased cat curled up in the middle console of his car. The police also discovered blood, chunks of cat fur, and fur-covered gloves along with a hunting knife. They arrested him and booked him.

This has been a gruesome and horrific act, and one the community was hoping to get solved so that the killings would stop. They finally got the cat murderer off the streets and now, hopefully cats and their owners can sleep peacefully at night knowing they are finally safe.
