A gray and white cat named Buddha is the story in Nashville, Tennessee this week. The owners of Buddha took him into an animal shelter because they could “no longer care for him.” Which begs the question of, “if you let a cat get to 31 lbs are you really caring for the cat?” Perhaps they couldn’t keep spending the money to feed this poor obese feline.
Buddha is a whopping 31 lbs and owners at the cat shop where his owners used to shop say they think he got that way from pasta. Buddha used to run over to it every single time he was at the store. Support is pouring in for an animal rescue organization in Nashville, TN, that took Buddha.
He now has a Facebook page and once Buddha can lose 12 lbs he’ll be put up for adoption. Here’s to your weight loss Buddha!
