Cat Found Alive After 32 Days Buried in Debris from Italian Earthquake

When we brought you news before of two different cats lost in the rubble in the days following the Italian earthquake, we didn’t think we’d bring you anymore. Of course, then we brought you a story of a cat that was found more than two weeks after the quake hit, dehydrated, stuck and very hungry in the rubble; but very much alive. We thought that might be the biggest story of survival for pets in the quake, but we were not correct. It happens from time to time that miracles occur and we have no real answer or explanation for why this happened or what happened. However, it turns out that there is another cat that was recently found after 32 days stuck in the rubble and the debris left in the wake of the Italian earthquake. What a miracle.

The sweet cat was stuck in his hometown, but he managed to survive when the was able to reach rainwater that came trickling his way. That’s the sole reason this cat was able to survive so long without food and without help, and he’s so happy to be back home with his family. It was shocking to find out that this cat was still alive after so long in the debris, but we don’t have any doubt that the strong can survive most anything. Rocco is the name of the cat, and he is now home with his family, who is so relieved and beyond shocked that their darling animal was able to survive this horrible earthquake.
