Cat Loses Both Eyes and Finds A Loving Home With Other Blind Cats

blind cat

Meet Blossom. She’s a cat without eyes, and she cannot see anything. Blossom was not always blind, however. She was born just fine with both her eyes and her eyesight intact. Unfortunately, her childhood (kittenhood?) was not an ideal one, and she was uncared for, homeless and lost. She was so ill that she managed to obtain an infection in both of her eyes so bad that she had to be taken to the vet when she was rescued. The vet determined that the infection was so bad this darling black and white cat would only survive if her eyes were completely removed. She was suddenly different. She was having a difficult time learning to adjust to her newfound lack of eyesight. This darling cat was actually fostered following her surgery by Howard Stern and his wife.

They have lots of cats that they foster in their home, and they were happy to take on this cat while they were able to help her recover from her injuries and her surgery. That’s when Susan Smith heard about Blossom and her lack of eyesight and knew she was the one to adopt this sweet cat. She has blind cats, and not one of them feels badly for themselves. They don’t know that they aren’t like the other cats, and she’s familiar with raising a cat without eyes. She is sensitive to their needs, and she is able to give her cats all a loving home. Now Blossom is living with cats just like her, and they have become one big, happy family. It’s a sweet ending to a sweet story.
