Family Saves Tiny Kitten and Shows Love for the First Time

When a small kitty showed up on a porch all dirty, covered in fleas and definitely not at the weight he should be, the homeowners didn’t want to leave him behind. They already had two cats, and they certainly did not want a third. However, the kitten was so small and so dirty that they were unable to ignore him. Clearly terrified, the kitten would not allow them anywhere near him. It took a bit of time and creative thinking to make the cat come to them so that they could grab him. The poor thing needed to see the vet right away, but he was mostly fine. He was just unvaccinated, did not have enough meat on his bones and was covered in fleas. It was nothing they could not handle. The family took the cat home and put him in his own room so as not to share his fleas or other issues with their cats for a few days.

Too scared to even come near them, the family was under the impression this terrified cat would never learn to love them. They fed him, talked to him and did their best to show him love, but the kitten they named Jedi was not having any of it. They finally decided to allow their other cats to meet the kitten, and for the first time it was actually excited. They thought this might be the answer. It was! The kitten was immediately attached to one of their other cats, Jingles, and has adopted the cat as a surrogate mother. Now they are inseparable and the kitten is much more welcoming of his new human family. It’s a happy ending all the way around.
