Rescuers Help to Save a Cat Stuck in an SUV Dashboard

It’s not every day you hear of a cat getting stuck in a dashboard, earlier this month, the Dodge dealership in Albany, Oregon heard just that when they were asked to help get Boots, a family pet, out of their Dodge Journey’s dash.

Boots crawled into the family’s car to escape when a house fire broke out. He somehow managed to get stuck to the degree where he was severely trapped and unable to free himself. When Boots’ owners realized he was trapped and couldn’t get him out themselves, they called for help.

Mark Thomas Motors in Albany, Oregon went to the rescue of the stuck, and most certainly, scared, cat. The general manager of the dealership said that his guys went to work fast to disassemble the dashboard in an effort to free Boots. They worked for hours, and they had to work carefully, as this was not just an ordinary job, a little life was at stake.

The general manager was proud of his guys and described the unusual job as a real team effort. He was proud of how quickly his guys worked, although the rescue took several hours, but the team was dedicated to rescue Boots. They were on a mission that required them to completely deconstruct the Dodge Journey’s dash in order to complete it, but they didn’t stop until he was free and able to reunite with his family.

The rescue was successful and Boots. He is fine and happy to out of his predicament and back with his family. The dealership did not charge the family for the work the guys had to do in order to free the stuck kitty. They were happy to help the feline, and the family.

As a final note; the status of the owners’ home is not known. There is no word on how the house fire started, or in what condition the house was in after the fire.
