Cat Survives Bow and Arrow Shot to the Leg

Miracles happen every single day across the world, and this is a story of a cat that survived something that should have killed him. It’s a miracle, no doubt. Little John is a cat that was really just a regular cat. This is a Missouri-native that liked to hang out in the many barns in a rural neighborhood. He would spend his time wandering between neighborhoods making friends with the other animals and the people in the area, and he would do whatever he had to do to make himself comfortable. He was there, but he wasn’t bothering anyone. Most people found him harmless and not a problem in the least.

However, one of the owners of the one of the barns that Little John occasionally called home was saddened when he found the friendly cat in his barn one day, an arrow sticking out of one of his little legs. Someone had shot the cat with a bow and arrow, and hit him right in the leg and the arrow was still in this body. The barn owner knew he had to save this cat, so he took him to Dr. Mark Wright at the Humane Society. With an infection already set it, the cat was probably going to die had he not been brought in when he was.

Thankfully, the cat was in just the right position, even though he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Just a hair in the opposite direction and the arrow would have shot him right through the heart. Additionally, the shot missed any of his major arteries or nerves, and he’s on the road to recovery and he is expected to be just fine. In fact, this cat is already so fine after his treatment that he is ready for adoption and looking for a loving family to care for him and keep him out of harm’s way.
