April Hill is the kind of woman we all dream of becoming. She’s an Atlanta resident who had a great job and a secure lifestyle, until she gave it all up last year. Unlike most people who give up their good jobs to make life changes, April Hill did not have another job lined up. What she had was a dream, an idea and a desire to do something really cool; she wanted to open the first Cat Café in Atlanta. She had a plan; a business plan. She worked hard to figure out what she needed to do, how she needed to get there and what would make her Cat Café successful. While it might seem as if she’s just been whiling away her time doing nothing in particular, she’s been working very hard at making her dreams come true – and now Atlanta is welcoming the city’s very first Cat Café.
She hopes to open the doors of the Happy Tabby Cat Café this summer as the temperatures rise and the weather changes for the better. She is looking forward to her adventure, and she is not doing anything that might jeopardize her chances at making her dreams come true. Right now she expects to have something along the lines of 15-20 cats as well as space for that many patrons. They’ll be able to work, order pre-packaged refreshments and special coffee drinks like any other café. Customers can sit down and enjoy working while they have a cat in their laps, and it might make everyone feel a bit less stressed at the end of the day.
