Cat Born Without Eyelids Wears Shades Every Single Day

There are so many things that make it impossible for cats to become adopted. There are cats that are considered too old by many people who would rather have a fresh new kitten to bring home. Some cats are too big, some are too small, some are too orange and some are too not the right shade of brown. There are cats that have been mistreated as babies that make people nervous to bring them home. There are cats that lived on the street or cats that don’t seem as if they want much attention and cats that just seem too cool for people. There are also cats that aren’t entirely ‘perfect’ in that they might not have all their limbs or they might have a special need.

Meet Bagel. Bagel is your average house cat with a small problem; bagel was born without eyelids, which made her unadoptable. No one wants a cat that has to have eye drops administered into her eyes several times a day since she does not produce tears that keep her eyes moist. No one wants a cat that has to be taken to the vet for surgeries and procedures regularly. No one wants a cat that has to walk around with sunglasses on every single day to prevent everyday debris from getting into her eyes. No one; but someone wanted Bagel and for that she is very appreciative. Without the wonderful person who took her in and wanted to keep her forever, she would have been put down, and that’s not fun.
