Dog and Cat Foods Recalled by Natura Pet Products

Natura Pet Products announced a massive pet food recall for several of its brands of dog and cat foods after a production facility tested positive for salmonella.  The recall involves all Innova, California Natural, Evo, Healthwise, Mother Nature and Karma brands.

Products affected included dry pet food, biscuits, bars, and treats with expiration dates prior to June 10, 2014. The items were sold primarily in veterinary clinics, specialty pet retailers and online in the U.S. and Canada.

Natura said in a press release Tuesday it was voluntarily recalling the products after one test came back positive for salmonella. People who own the products in question can request a refund or a voucher.
