Emerald Colored Cat Stuns After Sleeping on Gobs of Synthetic Paint in Bulgaria

We wish we could tell you this was a photoshop.  However, it is not.  This is a real picture of a real cat spotted in the town of Varna, Bulgaria and that emerald hue you see on its fur is because this cat had slept on synthetic paint.   More specifically the cat usually sleeps on an abandoned heap of synthetic green paint in a garage.

While the color is amazing, the true issue at hand is the fact that this cat is getting more green by the day. Varna is a popular tourist destination as it is the largest city and seaside resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. The RSPCA has warned that dyeing or painting animals for cosmetic reasons could have ‘potentially fatal consequences’.  Many assumed the stray was the victim of a cruel prank by vandals but that is in fact not the case and it has been confirmed by witnesses.

As of right now there is no word on what authorities plan to do about the situation.  While the cat is beautiful we sincerely hope it doesn’t run into health problems due to the exposure. Here’s a more detailed video of the cat.
