Famous Feral Cat is Being Returned to His Natural Home

feral cat

This cat became a very famous face when he was rescued in the awful Clark County flooding back in June. He was in a flood ravaged area struggling to stay alive when officers were able to get out and find him, rescue him and bring him to safety. As you can see in the photos, he was very happy to be rescued from the water and he did not fight officers much. However, as he spent the past month in a rescue being given his shots and being fixed, it came to the attention of the rescue that this is a cat that is completely feral. Several attempts have been made to try and make sure this cat is trained and rehabilitated to live with a forever family, but no one can come near him; he even has to be sedated when the vet sees him so that the vet can touch him.

This wild cat is finally breaking free and going to live back in his normal place. He’s a feral cat, and they survive quite well on the streets. That’s his job from now on, too. He will live out the remainder of his lives on the street and not have to worry that anyone will try and touch him, befriend him and do anything for or with him. He won’t cut it as a house pet, and it’s not humane to make him do so. We wish this famous cat the best of luck in his new old life.
