Firefighters Save Cat Stuck in A Tree for Three Days

cat in a tree

Imagine waking up on a Sunday morning to find that your beloved pet cat was scared by something so badly that it climbed into the neighbor’s high tree and was too scared to come down. As a pet owner, you do whatever it takes. You probably offer the cat some treats or food. You put water at the bottom of the tree. You call it. You tell it to come down. You try and see what you can do to get it down. You do everything you can to get the cat down from the tree, but not one single thing actually works. Unfortunately, your cat is stuck. The next logical thing to do is call the fire department. This is exactly what happened to one family who could not get their cat down from their neighbor’s tree. Only, they waited until Tuesday to call for help.

The fire department was able to get the cat down in less than 20 minutes, and the owners were very happy. However, it’s a lesson for us all. The fire department says that they don’t usually like to rescue animals because it leaves them unavailable to rescue actual fires. They prefer you call animal control, as it is their job. They are happy to help, of course, but ask not to be the first resource. They came to the rescue this time because the cat was stuck for so long and they worried it was dehydrated and ill. Thankfully, they saved him and everyone is living happily ever after – and hopefully away from trees.
