Man Saves and Adopts a Cat Thrown From a Moving Car

Good Samaritan Thomas Verzeni witnessed a kitten being tossed from a moving car in Greensboro, NC on Wednesday and stopped to rescue the little animal. He took the kitten, who lost part of an ear, for veterinary care and will adopt him. The kitten, who is being called Van Gogh, will join two other cats in the Verzeni home.

“He’s got no home,” Verzeni said. “Somebody threw him out like a piece of garbage and as you can see – definitely not a piece of garbage.”

One of the witnesses to the incident says he tried to contact the highway patrol, Greensboro police and animal control, but didn’t see the driver’s license plate number.
