Singer Kesha is Starting a Cat Cult

2013 American Music Awards - Show

We all know Kesha as a singer, songwriter, and now a TV personality on the show Rising Star, but there’s another title the “Timber” songstress wants to add to her resume: cult leader. (Um, ok Kesha.) This probably isn’t as wild an answer as one may think, especially coming from Kesha, who has definitely done and said a lot stranger things in the past. The pop star has divulged on how she plans to accomplish this and has already decided that she will do so by starting a “cat cult.” While it sounds a tad bit crazy, we all know that the Internet is pretty cat crazed these days, so she may be onto something!

“So I’ve always wanted to have a cult, I think I could be a pretty good cult leader basically. I’m sorry, I do,” Kesha explained. “So I’m going to start a cult and people can be in it if they like to be cats or play with cats or play with cat toys.”

Well, that sounds totally normal! Who doesn’t like playing with cats?! But, of course, in true Kesha fashion, that’s not the only thing that joining the cult would entail. There would also be an initiation that potential members will have to experience, something that may or may not deter even the most enthusiastic of cat lovers.

“You have to eat a little bit of glitter. It’s mixed in with cat litter. It’s part of the process,” Kesha stated.

One thing’s for sure, that would have to be one dedicated (and an extreme cat-loving) member!
