Veteran Reunited with Cat He Found Overseas

abandoned kitten

When Brad Voncleave began working as a contractor for the US in Baghdad, he had no idea how much his life would change. He spent some time working as a contractor at the airport, keeping things safe and running smoothly for those who had to fly in and spend time in the war zone. Away from his family, his job paid well but was often quite tough and very difficult. One day, however, he was on the airstrip when he happened to notice a small kitten there without a mother. It did not take him long to realize that the kitten had been abandoned and that it was without a home, without love and without anyone to care for it. The kitten followed him around and meowed incessantly, so he took it home with him and loved it. He named the kitten Mr. Meowgi because of how much noise it made.

When it was time for Voncleave to come back home to the states, though, he wanted to bring the kitten with him. Foreign policy makes this pretty difficult, bringing an animal over the border and into another country. It would not be an easy task, but the SPCA did what they could and worked their magic. We have the video right here of the moment that the cat was released from the custody it was in and allowed to come home with this family to have a forever home filled with love and affection. You have to see it to know just how sweet it really is.
