Kittens are already tiny little creatures, but one cat just may have beaten all the cats as the world’s smallest cat! Pixel the munchkin cat stands at a mere five inches tall and is set to be measured by the Guinness Book of Records to gain the title. Pixel’s mother, Fizz Girl, currently holds the world record at six inches – a feat she set two years ago in 2012. If the Book of Records deems it true, the tiny cat will officially be the shortest cat that has ever lived!
Pixie and Fizz Girl’s owner, Tiffani, just can’t stop gushing about her two little munchkin cats everywhere she goes!
“They win hearts over like crazy,” Tiffani said.”Even people that aren’t cat people go crazy for them. They say about how cute they are and how they want to take them straight home with them.”
Unfortunately, that makes it a little difficult for Tiffani to move freely around her own home.
“You can’t leave doors open, you can’t close refrigerator doors too quickly because one of them may have snuck up at the bottom of the door and stuck their head in,” she added. “We have to move very slowly when we walk so we don’t step on anybody. Everyone of them has been stepped on or kicked once because it’s just what happens in a house of munchkin cats.”
Tiffani is currently awaiting for a verification from Guiness before the tiny cat can be written in the books.
