The Black Ragdoll Cat is Super Friendly and Plays Well With Others

While there are lots of different colored Ragdoll cats, the Black Ragdoll Cat is one of the more popular color coats.  Prized for their-two toned yin and yang color pattern, these cats are very elegant looking.  Certain breeders specialize in breeding the Black Ragdoll Cat. So if you are looking for one you won’t have a hard time finding one.  In fact, you can probably find a breeder by looking in your local newspaper. The first time you pick up your Black Ragdoll Cat you will know how this feline got its name. Due to their unique reaction of going limp in your arms these relaxed cats will flop around.  A very friendly cat, most Ragdolls do well around both people and other pets.  These cats are loyal to their owners and often love to lie in their laps.  While most cats are hard to train and super stubborn, the Ragdoll will learn to obey you with ease.

Are These Cats Very Active?

While some cat breeds are full of energy, the Black Ragdoll Cat is typically a more laid back animal.  You won’t find a Ragdoll climbing your curtains or attacking your house guests.  While these animals are playful in nature they know when enough is enough. So if you are looking for a calm cat, the Ragdoll is one of the best.

Do They Require a Lot of Care?

While weekly brushing and monthly grooming is recommended, these cats are easy to care for.  These cats tend to have long hair and just like all cats they can get hairballs. So make sure to keep an eye out for that.  But overall these cats don’t require any extra care.  Just remember these are indoor cats so if you plan on taking them outside, you are going to have to keep an eye on them due to their docile nature.

So Is The Black Ragdoll Cat Right For Me?

What’s not to love about these beautiful animals?  Just one look at the Black Ragdoll Cat and you will fall in love.  If you are looking for a mild tempered and laid back cat that won’t get into too much trouble, this is the breed for you.  But remember if you are looking for an outside cat you should look for another breed.  Because of the Ragdoll’s friendly nature they are often oblivious to the dangers of the outside world.
