The Company That Pays You To Cuddle With Cats All Day

For a cat lover, snuggling with kittens all day sounds like it would be the best thing in the world. Better yet, someone who has dreamt of being around tons of felines, just petting them and talking to them all throughout the day, and get paid to do it, really sounds like a dream come true. But, there is actually such a job out there, and although it may be far out there, in Dublin, Ireland, it does exist.

A job opening has popped up in Dublin, Ireland that is seeking someone to be a “Cat Cuddler” at a veterinary clinic in the area. The job listing does have some pretty significant requirements and you can see if they describe you. You can see if your cat obsession is enough that you could make some money petting cats all day long. If so, this could be the purrf-fect job opportunity for you.

The name of the clinic is “Just Cats Veterinary Clinic and Cattery.” It is Dublin’s only clinic that is a, cats-only clinic – no dogs allowed. This is one reason they feel it is very important that they find someone who is crazy for cats to help the staff with giving their cats all the attention they can handle.

So what does the job entail? According to the ad, the clinic is looking for someone with “cattitude,” and who has very gentle hands that are capable of petting cats for long stints of time. The perfect candidate should also be able to distinguish between different types of purrs. Not many people know that there are different types of purrs, but apparently they are and you should know about them in order to get the job. You will also have to be a soft-spoken person, someone who is capable of “cat whispering.”

What it boils down to, is that the clinic is trying to find someone who has a great deal of experience handling cats. If you think you spend more time with cats than you do with humans, chances are, you are an excellent candidate for this job.

On one part of the application, the clinic actually asks, if you ever count kittens before sleep or help take care of and feed stray cats in your area, then they feel you are a perfect fit for the position of “Cat Cuddler” at their clinic. Another question you’ll see is, “if petting cats makes you feel ‘warm and fuzzy?'” Most people who are cat lovers would have the obvious answer for that question.

If you aspire to a cat cuddler for you next job, one thing you will need before you move to Dublin, is a qualification recognized by the veterinary council of Ireland. You won’t be considered for the job without it.
